BETAFPV Meteor65 Pro II O4 Wide 1S ELRS 2.4GHz Brushless Whoop

The BETAFPV Meteor65 Pro II brings the image quality of the DJI O4 Wide system to a remarkably compact 1S brushless whoop.

This version comes fitted with the DJI O4 Wide Air Unit and an integrated Serial ELRS 2.4GHz receiver. Its protected propellers, wide camera view and compact dimensions make it particularly well suited to indoor flying and navigating tight gaps.

Compared with the original Meteor65 Pro O4, the Pro II receives a larger 70mm wheelbase, an expanded battery compartment, upgraded 0802 Freestyle motors, Gemfan 1409 propellers and BETAFPV’s redesigned Canopy II vibration-isolation system.

DJI O4 Wide Air Unit

The Meteor65 Pro II is supplied with the DJI O4 Wide Air Unit already installed. Its 159-degree field of view provides a broad view of the surroundings, which is particularly useful when navigating confined indoor spaces.

The air unit supports high-quality digital video transmission and onboard recording at up to 4K 60fps. This gives pilots polished HD footage from a whoop weighing approximately 36.2g without its battery.

Compatible DJI FPV goggles are required. Analogue, Walksnail and HDZero goggles are not compatible with the DJI O4 system.

Canopy II Vibration Isolation

The redesigned Canopy II uses four shock-absorbing mounting balls to isolate the camera and air unit from motor vibration. This helps reduce visible shake and jello while maintaining a secure installation.

The canopy protects the camera and air-unit assembly while allowing the camera angle to be adjusted from approximately 15 to 35 degrees.

Redesigned 70mm Frame

Although it retains the Meteor65 name, the Pro II has a 70mm wheelbase rather than the 66mm wheelbase used by the previous model.

The additional space allows BETAFPV to fit a larger battery compartment while improving stability and flight efficiency. The frame also features fewer arm braces and refined duct shaping to improve airflow around the propellers.

The polypropylene frame surrounds all four propellers, making the model particularly suitable for close-proximity and indoor flying.

Approximately Four Minutes of Flight Time

The enlarged battery compartment accepts the LAVA II 1S 480mAh LiHV battery. When flown from 4.35V down to 3.3V, BETAFPV claims a flight time of approximately 4 minutes 5 seconds.

This is a substantial improvement over the approximately 2 minutes 40 seconds claimed for the previous Meteor65 Pro O4 with its smaller 300mAh battery.

Actual flight time will vary depending on throttle use, flying style, battery condition and environmental conditions.

Upgraded 0802 Freestyle Motors

The Meteor65 Pro II uses BETAFPV’s 2026-generation 0802 Freestyle 22000KV brushless motors. These motors feature a thin 0.10mm stator core designed to reduce magnetic losses and improve efficiency.

The freestyle motor configuration prioritises smooth low-throttle control and torque rather than maximum racing RPM. This helps the aircraft carry the additional weight of the digital HD system while retaining predictable indoor handling.

The motors are paired with Gemfan 1409 three-blade propellers to provide a balance of grip, efficiency and responsiveness.

Matrix 1S 3-in-1 HD Flight Controller

BETAFPV’s Matrix 1S 3-in-1 HD flight controller combines the flight controller, four-in-one ESC and Serial ELRS 2.4GHz receiver on one compact board.

Its STM32G473 processor runs at 168MHz and is supported by 16MB of blackbox memory. The integrated ESC is rated for 12A continuous and 18A peak current.

A dedicated 5V 3A BEC provides stable power for the digital video system. The board also uses an independent power supply for the gyro to help reduce electrical interference.

Integrated ELRS 2.4GHz Receiver

This version features an integrated Serial ELRS 2.4GHz receiver and is intended for use with a compatible ELRS 2.4GHz radio transmitter.

Serial ELRS allows the receiver firmware to be updated independently without replacing the flight-controller firmware. Binding and configuration are required before the first flight.

Indoor Flying Performance

The Meteor65 Pro II is primarily designed for indoor flying and calm outdoor conditions. Its protected propellers and compact dimensions make it ideal for controlled circuits, indoor gaps and close-proximity HD filming.

At approximately 36.2g without its battery, it remains impressively small for a complete DJI digital whoop. However, the additional weight of the HD video system means it will not feel as light or aggressive as a stripped-down analogue racing whoop.
